This is a commemorative horn made by Carl Dumke to honor an 18 centrury Patriot in his family tree. The horn won 3rd place at the 2010 Horner’s Guild Conference at Roscoe Village. This is William Richmond’s horn 1775 from the 3rd Virginia Regiment, who was with Washington at the Delaware River and Battles at Trenton, Princeton, Germantown and Brandywine. On the bottom is Ben Franklin’s “Unite or Die.” There is a map of the Delaware River concentrating on the battles from above. It has a formed plug with ”WR” initials and both the octagon spout and the plug have a turned staple.
